Many of the Centurion books we print are written by parents, teachers and grandparents: picture books, early readers, school resources and family stories. Those books raise a question most first-time authors have not thought about yet: colour or black and white, and what that does to the price.
Full-colour printing costs noticeably more per copy than black and white, so we help you decide where colour earns its place. A picture book needs it on every page. A novel with a few photographs might only need a colour section. Our printing calculator shows the difference before you commit.
Printing for Centurion’s families, schools and authors
Centurion sits between Pretoria and Midrand, with family suburbs like Irene, Eldoraigne and Rooihuiskraal alongside office hubs such as Highveld Techno Park. It is a family-centred area, and that shows in what gets printed: children’s books, school readers, faith-based books for young families and keepsake books for relatives.
Children’s books are usually printed in full colour on white paper, in a larger format than a novel. If you are illustrating your own book, send us the artwork early so we can check the resolution before it is laid out. Low-resolution images are the most common reason children’s books get delayed.
