Genuine spiritual growth to balanced maturity is a lifetime process. The Apostle Paul makes it very clear in 1 Corinthians Chapter three, verses one and two, that there are simply two kinds of Christians: MILK CHRISTIANS and MEAT CHRISTIANS. That means Christians that can take ‘MILK’ only, and Christians that are able to take ‘MEAT’. The ‘MILK’ Christians are immature spiritual babies, characterised by negative, legalistic, and judgmental attitudes. Their lifestyles are carnal, unstable, and confused. They are often victims of unbiblical traditions that are stronger than constitutions, social divisions, religious formalism, bigotry, tribalism, racialism, nationalism, lack of wisdom, and the spirit of denominationalism.
Spiritual Growth to balanced Maturity – Dr Elijah Maswanganyi
The greatest need of the Body of Christ in our generation is to grow up into the full stature of Christ our Lord in order to be able to assume full responsibility of carrying on the great commission of reaching the nations. The process of growing up into maturity is deemed necessary for progressive balanced growth into Christ-likeness in order to reflect Him in our motives, attitudes, thoughts, words, actions and reactions.
